POLL: What kinds of tutorials would you like to see?

Posted by: elegntly_wasted

As an addendum to my last post, here is a new poll to fill out. The last one was getting cluttered, and most people had just written in useless information and tutorials that were already in the memories. If you are looking for a specific kind of tutorial, please check the memories first. If you don't see it in there, then fill out this poll. I gave you 255 characters (the maximum) to ask your questions, so go into as much detail as you can in the space limit. I don't want to see answers like "how do I make icons?" and "how do I do it?" Got it? The more information we get, the better we will be able to help you. :) And by 'we', I mean those gracious tutorial writers who have been posting to the community, and myself when I have time between my grad courses and work.

I would also like to mention that I do not know how to code layouts, and I do not have a mod who does at the moment. Unfortunately, [info]__roadtrip did everything related to layouts :( Please do not ask for layout codes, how to code layouts, etc. in this poll.

News Post

Posted by: elegntly_wasted

Hi all,
I just have a few news items to share with you all.

[x] Our owner, [info]__roadtrip, is no longer using GJ. Since I'm the co-owner I'm going to be taking over. I have not written any tutorials for a while, but I am still around, and I check on things just about every day. If you ever have a question or a problem with something going on in this community, please feel free to leave me a comment somewhere, or you can e-mail me privately at sellmysoul[at]gmail[dot]com.

[x] I realize that several things in the layout are broken - PM links, for example. I don't know how to change the layout, as I don't actually know where the codes are. If anything that you feel is absolutely necessary breaks down, please let me know and I'll contact [info]__roadtrip and see if we can figure it out. Otherwise, I'm going to leave it the way it is, since it mostly works and it looks great XD

[x] Please remember to read the userinfo of the community before you post - we do not accept posts that ask questions. The only posts that get through my moderation are tutorials. There are several links in the userinfo to a post with a poll where you can request a new tutorial. Icon and graphics makers, if you are bored and want to work on a tutorial, please check those posts - if you can write a tutorial on something that hasn't been posted already, please feel free to do so.

[x] Please check the memories before you request a tutorial - there are lots of tutorials in the memories, and if there isn't a specific one in there that you need, you can request it in the appropriate post. Again, do not ask your question as a post to the community - it will not be approved.

I think that's all for now. Thanks for all your patience guys. This community is a great success and it's thanks to all of you :)

Have a great weekend everyone.
